How to Retrieve Your YEIDEP Code

We noticed that many of you have been asking how to retrieve your lost YEIDEP code, so we decided to create this post to guide you through the process. Keep reading!

Whatever the reason that made you to be asking to retrieve your YEIDEP code, here are some important points to note before we proceed:

The code was given to some applicants who registered on the old portal NIYEEDEP. the new portal YEIDEP does not give code number. So no need to panic!

The management has stated that if you have already created your bank account, you have nothing to worry about.

Some banks, like Fidelity Bank, do not require the YEIDEP code to create a YEIDEP bank account online. However, to open a YEIDEP account with Keystone Bank online, you do need the YEIDEP code.

Recall that YEIDEP management previously announced that the new portal is no longer directing applicants to specific banks, unlike the older portal. This change was made to provide applicants with an easier route to open bank accounts.

Data will be transferred to the banks, and accounts will be generated immediately and sent to applicants via SMS. Upon receiving such a message, applicants are required to proceed to the nearest branch of the respective bank to complete their registration by uploading sensitive documents, such as a passport photo, BVN, NIN, etc.

Having said that, if you still need to retrieve your YEIDEP code, please take the following steps:

1. Chat with the Admin of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development via their Twitter handle: @fmyfNG

Call and email YEIDEP support team via the YEIDEP portal.
