Is NIYEEDEP Portal Changed to YEIDEP

As regard to the question that some of you have been asking if the change of NIYEEDEP Portal to YEIDEP that is circulating online is genuine weeks after the NEYEEDEP Portal went offline.

To answer this question, I will say that the FMYD will not change the name of NIYEEDEP without informing the NIYEEDEP applicants. If truly the name has been changed to YEIDEP, the Federal ministry of youth and development will inform applicants.

You all know that a lot of people have applied via the NIYEEDEP Portal and already open an account with the 3 partnered banks waiting for the next action. If for any reason the portal is changed, applicants will be notified.

Though the YEIDEP portal has its own web address, Its mission which is to mitigate youth unemployment, grow Nigeria's economy and alleviate household poverty by helping youths to access the business financing, enterprise development services and other basic economic incentives and empowerment platforms needed to transform themselves into entrepreneurs, job creators, income earners and builders of wealth, looks similar to the NIYEEDEP objectives.

Having said that, it is very important to wait for an official statement from the management before assuming conclusion.

If in any case you want to apply for yeidep, then let's assume that you are applying for something new.
