3MTT Nigeria Program Gets N1B Grant From Airtel

According to the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy Dr Bosun Tijani, they have received a N1 Billion grant from the Airtel Africa Foundation today for its 3MT TNigeria programme towards training and empowering over 25,000 Nigerians with in-demand technical skills.

The grant will cover hands-on training, community engagement, and job placement initiatives, all with the objective of enhancing Nigeria’s digital workforce in alignment with H.E President Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Minister appreciated Airtel Africa Foundation for collaborating with them as they work to position Nigeria as a key player in the global technology landscape.

The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, a critical part of the Renewed Hope agenda, is aimed at building Nigeria's technical talent backbone to power our digital economy and position Nigeria as a net talent exporter.

Cohort 3 of the program will train 90,000 fellows. The 3MTT program is executed in collaboration with hundreds of applied learning clusters, state governments, development agencies, and other key stakeholders.
