Unlike previous initiatives where Npower beneficiaries and others relied on handouts, the Humanitarian Minister stated that the government has devised an exit strategy to provide beneficiaries with packages after training, enabling them to become productive members of their communities.

However, while the Minister stated that the backlog owed beneficiaries will be cleared once he program is lifted from suspension and fund free for payment.

As disclosed by the Humanitarian Minister, consultants have been contracted to aid in the selection of beneficiaries for the ministry's flagship program focusing on Automobile, Agriculture, and Renewable energy, with a scheduled start date by the end of January 2025.

In another related matter, the Minister further shared that they held a brief meeting with Engr. Abisoye Coker-Olusote, the Director General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), to discuss the implementation of providing digital identities to the 15 million households targeted under the conditional cash transfer program of the Social Safety Nets.

This collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the program, ensuring that all beneficiaries have easy access to their entitlements. By leveraging digital identities, we can streamline the process, reduce fraud, and ensure that the support reaches those who need it most, the Minister stated.

The Federal Government also disclosed that Seventy million Nigerians to benefit from FG's N75,000 cash transfer initiative by 2025.
