3MTT Nigeria Program Marks Its First Anniversary On November 15, 2024

The 3MTT Nigeria Program turns one on Friday, November 15th, 2024. We will be looking at some of the program's impact since it was initiated one year ago. So keep reading!

In 2023, the renewed hope administration of President Tinubu initiated the program called 3 Million Technical Talent Program 3mtt to equip Nigerian youths with the technical skills in the digital economy to create jobs for the youths.

In order to manage the program in an orderly manner, it was divided into four batches. The first batch has completed its program, while the second batch will be rounding up its program this month of November to make way for the third batch to begin its program, which is scheduled to begin on November 26th, 2024.

The 3MTT management has taken various strides in making sure that the program succeeds. They have set up training centers across the country and also initiated different competitions to reward hardworking fellows who are taking their courses seriously.

Some of the programs initiated to reward fellows are programs such as the Knowledge Showcase competition and the Tech for Good Hackathon.

The 3MTT knowledge showcase competition was set up to reward fellows with laptops and data to aid their learning. While. the 3MTT Tech4Good Hackathon It is a chance for fellows to showcase their innovative technical solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing Nigeria today. Compete with their fellow 3MTT cohort learners across multiple states, gain recognition, and advance to the subregional phase. Read more here

The 3MTT management has also partnered with NJFP for internship placements. The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), a collaborative effort between the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria, has earlier placed 3000 talents into the 3 Million Tech Talent program under the auspices of the Office of the Minister for Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy (MOoCIDE), in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

As the 3MTT management set to celebrate its first year anniversary on Friday, November 15, 2024, they have assured fellows of exciting things, while some of the fellows urge the management to provide laptops to beneficiaries without access to this device to aid learning.
