FG Conducting Nationwide Refresher Training for Health Workers
The Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria through the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and their collaborative partners, are conducting a nationwide Refresher Training for Frontline Health Workers, including Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Community Health Extension Workers and other cadres who render clinical services in publicly owned primary health care facilities.
The main objective of this health facility level training is to enhance the capacity of Frontline Health Workers within publicly-owned primary health care facilities to deliver high-quality health services leading to improved health outcomes across Nigeria.

Through this program, the Federal Government has trained over 43,279 healthcare providers across 25 states in leading discussions, effective listening skills, making accurate observations, proper diagnosis and effective treatment at the PHC level, as well as fostering continuous professional development for front line health care workers all across the country.
