CBN With Partners Unveil Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in collaboration with its partners unveil the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the MPC Room of the CBN Head Office, Abuja. The event, themed "Declaration of Commitment: Unlocking Her Power.

Some of the participants who attended the Declaration of Commitment are: Deputy Governor, Operations, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Ms. Emem Usoro; MD/CEO, Bank of Industry, Dr. Olasupo Olusi; Governor, CBN, Mr. Olayemi Cardoso; MD, Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN), Dr. Tony Okpanachi; Lead Country Economist, World Bank Group, Ms. Bertine Kamphuis; and Deputy Governor, Financial System Stability, CBN, Mr. Philip Ikeazor.

Nigeria joins the Global Movement to ensure that Nigerian women entrepreneurs are better empowered to achieve their full potential.

The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, woos stakeholders to adopt the Women Entrepreneurs Finance (We-Fi) Code to enhance the financial inclusion of women entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

This commitment is not just symbolic but a significant stride in closing the gender financing gap and ensuring women entrepreneurs are at the forefront of our national development’ - Cardoso.
