Bolt Prank: Nigerians Retaliate Creates Bolt Surge In SA

Nigerians have successfully created maximum Bolt surge in South Africa Cape Town and Johannesburg, rendering South Africans stranded over unavailability and expensive rides.

This occurs due to the prank South Africans started by ordering Bolt in Nigeria, from SA, and canceling when the rider gets to the pick-up location.

Trust Nigerians, they retaliate immediately to teach South Africans a lesson by ordering different things ranging from bold and Uber riders to food and electronics without picking it up.

However, the Technology ride-hailing firm, Bolt, says it has blocked an undisclosed number of accounts involved in requesting fake rides and canceling them due to this situation.

The ride-hailing app also restricted intercounty ride requests following an escalation of such requests in Nigeria and South Africa.
