1. Before the suspension of the N-Power program and the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister disclosed that they would be recruiting 5 Million Youths under the renewed Hope Npower program. 2. The Minister then stated that the present pay is N30,000 but we are proposing a unified payment of N50,000 to N60,000 for the prospective Beneficiaries of the renewed Hope Npower Skill Up Nigeria Program.

The Minister further stated that they are waiting until they have the agreement on what the new minimum wage will be and then pay them according to the new minimum wage.

However, these dreams were cut short as the program was later suspended due to corruption allegation level against the Minister and other NSIP officials. Till today, the case has not been concluded by the EFCC hence the continued suspension of the N-Power program.
