In today's Latest Npower News for July 2024, there are indications that Betta Edu, the embattled minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation, has assumed her roles despite being under suspension and investigation by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission.
Recall that before the suspension of Dr Betta Edu over the issues of fund diversion which amount to N585 million federal government grant meant for the vulnerable into private accounts, there was plans to begin the new N-Power programme recruitment which was to be named renewed Hope job creation programme RHJCP.

It will be a renewed Hope for the beneficiaries of the N-Power programme if truly she has resumed office. She had sent condolences to the victims of the recent Jos building collapse via her Twitter handle.
The condolences message which carried the Ministry's letterhead reads as follows:
It is with profound grief that I extend my deepest condolences on the tragic collapse of the school building in Jos, Plateau State, which has resulted in the loss of multiple lives and left many survivors grappling with unimaginable pain and suffering.
Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for the families who have lost their loved ones and for the community enduring this devastating ordeal. In times like these, we find ourselves united in our shared grief and determination to support one another through this tragedy.
May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may the injured receive swift and complete healing. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and all those affected during this incredibly difficult time. With heartfelt sympathy, Dr Betta Edu.
