NITDA Alert Nigerians On New Apple AirPods Bluetooth Vulnerability
The National information Technology Development Agency NITDA has given a new update about the New Apple AirPods Bluetooth Vulnerability and how to prevent your device from being attack.
According to NITDA, Apple AirPods are a line of wireless Bluetooth earbuds designed by Apple inc. The Airpods were first released in December 2016 and have since become one of the most popular products in Apple's lineup.

On Wednesday, Apple released firmware update patches for Airpods that allowed malicious actors gain unauthorized access to the device.
The flaw, identified as CVE-2024-27867, is an authentication issue that affects Apple 2nd generations Airpods and later, Airpods Pro (all models), AirPods Max, Powerbeats Pro, and Beats Fit Pro.
An adversary in Bluetooth range might grant malicious actors the access to spoof the intended source device and could exploit the vulnerability to eavesdrop on the private conversations of users or gain access to the headphones.
Preventive Measures
a. Update to the latest AirPods Firmware update 6A326, AirPods Firmware Update 6F8, and Beats Firmware Update 6F8.
b. Ensure your devices are updated frequently.
