NJFP Places 3000 Fellows Into the 3MTT Program

Today, The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), a collaborative effort between the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria, has announced the placement of 3000 talents into the 3 Million Tech Talent program (3MTT) under the auspices of the Office of the Minister for Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy (MOoCIDE), in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) is a youth empowerment initiative launched by the Federal Government of Nigeria in October 2021. The program is designed to provide young Nigerian graduates with valuable work experience, mentorship, and training opportunities by attaching them to host organizations. At the same time, they earn 100k monthly Stipends thereby enhancing their employability and entrepreneurship skills.

Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Federal Republic of Nigeria, says, "The placement of 3000 Fellows into the 3 Million Tech Talent program is a testament to our commitment to harnessing the potential of our youth and driving digital innovation in Nigeria. Through this partnership, we are not. only addressing the skills gap but also providing our young talents with the opportunity to apply their expertise in real-world scenarios, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of our digital economy.

The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, a critical part of the Renewed Hope agenda, is aimed at building Nigeria's technical talent backbone to power our digital economy and position Nigeria as a net talent exporter. Some selected first-phase Fellows of the 3mtt program who took their learning seriously are now being placed with organizations under the NJFP Internship Program.
