Call For Application: 3MTT Regional Hackathon Sponsored By IHS
Here is another exciting opportunity! The 3MTT Tech4Good Hackathon (Cohort 1) - Sponsored by IHS. It is the state-level phase of the #Hackwith3MTT Regional Hackathon.
It is a chance for cohort 1 fellows to showcase their innovative technical solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing Nigeria today. Compete with your fellow 3MTT cohort 1 learners across multiple states, gain recognition, and advance to the sub-regional phase. Let's collaborate, create, and celebrate!
How to Participate:
1. Eligibility: Make sure you and all team members are enrolled in Cohort 1 of the 3MTT program and reside within your state.

2. Form a Team: Teams with a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of (5) team members.
3. Choose a Thematic Area: Select one of the identified thematic areas below:
a. Improving Healthcare Access and Efficiency
b. Enhancing Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability
c. Ensuring Clean Water and Effective Sanitation
d. Promoting Gender Equality and Empowering Women
e. Environmental Conservation and Responsible Consumption
f. Enhancing Community Safety and Preventing Crime
g. Strengthening Emergency Response and Disaster Management
h. Protecting Human Rights and Promoting Justice
4. Describe the Problem: Clearly articulate a problem that aligns with your chosen thematic area.5. Craft Your Proposal: Outline your proposed solution, detailing how it will address the problem and the technical components involved.
6. Submit Your Proposal: Complete this form with your personal/team information and project proposal, including any supporting documentation.
Prizes:
The top three teams from each state will advance to the sub-regional phase. There will be 12 sub-regional events in the following states:
(Akwa Ibom, Delta,Gombe, Bauchi, Sokoto, Kano, Anambra, Imo, Lagos, Ondo, FCT and Plateau)
The three teams from each state will pitch on a sub-regional demo day at their assigned state. There will be three winners at each sub-regional event. This will result in a total of 36 winners across the Federation.

At each sub-regional event, the top 3 teams will win the following prizes:
a. First Place: NGN 600,000
b. Second Place: NGN 300,000
c. Third Place: NGN 100,000
d. Additional Prizes: LinkedIn Premium membership, 100 GB MTN data, and swags for all top three teams from each state.

Submission Call: Opens Friday, May 9th, 2024
Closing Date: Wednesday, May 15th, 2024
Announcement of Shortlisted Teams: May 16th, 2024
Sub-regional Events: Begins on May 21st, 2024 (schedule to be shared)

Pitching Guidelines: Shortlisted teams will be informed about pitching requirements and logistics for the sub-regional phase.
