Six weeks later president Tinubu instructed that all administered programs by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) be suspended, and also directed a panel headed by Wale Edun, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, to “among other functions to conduct a comprehensive diagnostic on the financial architecture and framework of the social investment programs to conclusively reform the relevant institutions and programs, nothing has been said.
The National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) is a Nigerian government initiative designed to tackle poverty, hunger, and inequality by providing economic and social support to vulnerable populations. It was established in 2016 and consists of Four core programs: N-Power, NHGSFP, GEEP, and CCT.

The Npower beneficiaries are owed 8 months of backlog payment before the suspension of the program. According to the Beneficiaries, it has not been easy for them at this time of economic hardship.
However, the Beneficiaries have called on the president to remove the suspension on the NSIP program and resume activities to Kushun on the hardship that the people are going through.
