NITDA, NYSC To Establish CDS Group For Post Service Employability Via Tech
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), through its subsidiary, the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics NCAIR are set to establish a dedicated Community Development Service (CDS) group to enhance post-service employability, infusing emerging tech into SAED, and fostering a comprehensive learning experience.

The National Director NCAIR Eng Garba Ya'u, who was ably represented by Mr. Yusuf Abubakar made this known while delivering a speech during the launch of the NITDA-NYSC Emerging Tech for All (ET4ALL) programme at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja.
He said the initiative was designed to propel Nigeria's Corp members into the digital era, with a focus on cutting-edge technologies such as Robotics, Drones, Al, loT, and Blockchain. It involves NCAIR and NYSC key departments such as Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), as well as the Community Development Service and Special Projects Departments.
He stated that “the anticipated outcomes include heightened tech awareness, active sharing of tech knowledge among Corps members, and the cultivation of innovative ideas contributing to national digital advancement
Ya'u said the collaboration aims to realize the SRAP goal by preparing and positioning Corps Members to seize opportunities presented by emerging technologies. He opined that the partnership will actively facilitate the expansion of ICT skills acquisition in conjunction with the two-week Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.

He also encouraged the Corp members to take advantage of this NITDA Al Developers Training (NAIDT), iHatch Cohorts as they can get opportunities to be instructors and many more.
