SMEDAN Set To Rewards Waste Recycling Entrepreneurs

SMEDAN Set to reward entrepreneurs who have excelled in waste recycling - In line with the Sustainable Development Goals on Climate Action (Goal 13), the Agency is set to reward 20 entrepreneurs with cash in various sums to be invested into their businesses.

The event is tagged SMEDAN Talent Hunt and this edition place emphasis on Waste to Wealth, the Hunt has received over 1,000 submissions from indigenous and innovative MSMEs who are in the business of recycling waste products into reusable items. These applications are further screened and shortlisted candidates would be invited to present Pitch Deck for consideration of judges and they will further display products and processes for consideration. All participants will be exposed to capacity building on intellectual property protection and business management strategies.

The winners who will will be selected in Kaduna for the Northern zone and Anambra for the Southern zone shall be given cash prizes and all participants will be linked to Business Development Service Providers to further deepen knowledge, skills and facilitate market deepen knowledge, skills and facilitate market linkages.
