House Of Reps Laid A Petition On Bsc/ HND dichotomy In Military

House of Reps Plenary Proceeding In Brief 18-07-2023. The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu Presided.

PETITIONS:

1. Hon. Akin Rotimi laid a petition as regards the complains from military officers that despite the abolition of the Bsc./HND dichotomy, they are still subjected to bias treatment in respect of promotion exercises.

2. Hon. Kelechi Nwogu laid a petition on behalf of a complaint against Officers of the NDLEA on killing of the complainants 2 year old son and serious injuries on his second son.

All petitions were referred to the House committee on Public Petitions when constituted.

Matters Of Urgent Public Importance:

1. Hon. Adamu Tanko moved a motion on the urgent need to contain the outbreak of anthrax and seconded by Hon. Bashir Umar. The motion was voted on, adopted and referred to the House Committee on Health Services when constituted.
