KADSIO Organized Walk For NSIP In Kaduna To Appreciate President Buhari

The Kaduna Social Investment Office (KADSIO) yesterday the 16th of March 2023, organised the Walk for National Social Investment Programmes event in appreciation of the Office of President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Haj. Sadiya Umar Farouq, for initiating and supporting the various social investment programmes.

The event started with a “thank you rally” from Tafawa Balewa way (around Hotel Seventeen junction) in Kaduna to the Kaduna State University (KASU), main campus.

Over 2,000 beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the various social investment programmes - N-Power, Cash Transfer, School Feeding and GEEP.

In attendance was the State Focal Person of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), Madam Saude Amina Atoyebi, who welcomed the beneficiaries and invited guests to the event. She reinstated the commitment of the Kaduna State Government to supporting and sustaining Social Protection. She also thanked the federal government for its continued dedication towards uplifting the lives and livelihood of Kaduna residents.

Dignitaries present include, the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, General Manager of the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), staff of the Kaduna State Residents Identity Management Agency (KADRIMA), staff of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, and the Chairperson of the Kaduna Social Protection Accountability Coalition (KADSPAC).

At the end of the event, beneficiaries gave testimonies of the impact of the social investment programmes on their lives.
