SE States Flood Affected Farmers Gets Agricultural Inputs From FG - The Emergency Agricultural Inputs Intervention approved by President Muhammadu Buhari through the National Food Security Council for distribution to farmers affected by the 2020 flood in the South Eastern States was flagged-off in Owerri, Imo State on Friday 24th September 2021.

The Director General of NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed was represented by the Director Disaster Risk Reduction Mr Vincent Owan in flagging off the distribution.
The Deputy Governor of Imo State Prof Placid Nioku who represented Governor Hope Uzodinma appreciated the President and NEMA for the kind gesture. The Deputy Governor had earlier inspected the items in a warehouse.
The NEMA team comprised of the Deputy Director Special Duties Dr Onimode Bandele, Deputy Director Finance and Accounts Alhaji Sani Jiba and others.
The team had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the office to the office of the Deputy Governor before proceeding to the venue of the flag off on 24th September 2021
