The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Delta State, Nigeria was established in March 2007 under a Federal Government of Nigeria initiative to build a specialized University to produce unique high level manpower and relevant expertise for the Oil & Gas sector in Nigeria and worldwide.

Professor (CONUASS 7 N5,073,220 ÷ 12)
- Candidate must have a Ph.D. and have served as Reader for 3 years or Senior Lecturer for minimum of 6 years in a University
- Ability to drive research projects at doctoral levels and give leadership to entrench academic culture are desirable
- Candidates must have scholarly publications in reputable Journals.
Reader (CONUASS 6 N 4,175,818 ÷ 12)
- The qualifications are similar to (i) above except that the ideal candidate must have served as a Senior Lecturer or its equivalent for 3 years in a University.
Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 5 N3,428,047 ÷ 12)
- Candidate must have a Ph.D and 6 years teaching Post doctoral and quality research experience in a University or similar institution with relevant scholarly publications in peer review journal.
Lecturer I (COUNASS 4 N2,425,322 ÷ 12)
- Candidate must have a P.hD and show potential for research with evidence of relevant scholarly publications in reputable journal.
Lecturer II (CONUASS 3 N1,925,958 ÷ 12)
- Candidate must have a Ph.D in relevant discipline or Master degree but at an advanced stage of completion of doctoral degree.
Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 2 N1,695,770 ÷ 12)
- Candidate must have a Bachelor Degree with First Class (Honours) or Second Class (Honours) Lower Division and Master degree in relevant discipline.
4) Qualifications & Requirements for College of Technology
Professor (CONUASS 7 N5,073,220 ÷ 12)
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. and have served as Reader for 3 years or Senior Lecturer for minimum of 6 years in a University or similar institution
- Ability to drive research projects at Doctoral levels and give leadership to entrench academic culture are desirable
- Candidates must have scholarly publications in reputable journals
- Possession of Industry experience will be an added advantage.
Reader (CONUASS 6 N 4,175,818 ÷ 12)
- The qualifications are similar to (i) above except that the ideal candidate must have served as a Senior Lecturer or its equivalent for 3 years in a University or similar institution
- Possession of Industry experience will be an added advantage.
Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 5 N3,428,047 ÷ 12)
