Humanitarian Affairs Minister Launched NHGSFP In Abuja

The Honourable Minister Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq at the Launch of Home-Grown School Feeding Programme in the Federal Capital Territory.

The National Home Grown School Feeding Programme is one of the four cardinal programmes of National Social Investment Programme

The programmes main objective is to provide one nutritious, balanced meal mch school day to pupils in classes 1 to 3 in our public primary schools across the Country

The N HGSFP is cumently beneming over 8.6 million pupils in over 56,000 public primary schools in 35 states across N igeria, 107,670 cooks have been empowered and over 200,000 small holder farmers linked to the program supplying locally sourced ingredient to improve the nutrition and quality !meals for our children.
