Good Deed For NPower Volunteers Is For The Benefit Of Nigeria

NPower programme is one component of the National Social Investment programme of the Nigeria government. However, the programme has turnout to exceed his expectations in terms of the positive impact it has on the volunteers and Nigeria as a whole since its inceptions.

According to report, one out of ten Nigeria is an NPower volunteer. As a result of that any good deed for NPower volunteers will affect and reflect on entire Nigeria positively. So it is recommended that any plan the government has for these set of young energetic Nigerian graduates working so hard to see that they better their lives and make Nigeria great with what they do at their various places of primary assignment is worthwhile.

There is no doubt that some of the NPower volunteers have exceeded their time in the programme and needed to be exited as always stated, but the fact still remains that exiting them back into the society where unemployment has become endemic resulting to insecurity in our dear Nation is not advice-able.

So the government should in their exit plan option for the NPower volunteers arrange a lasting and sustaining option which we believe will be of great benefit to the Nation rather than adding to the unemployment situation of our dear country Nigeria.

Infact, majority of the volunteers are pleased with the government for the opportunity given to them to serve as health extension workers, Agric extension workers and Class teachers in their various communities.

After serving good three years in the programme, it is high time the volunteers start feeling the impact of their hard work and not still being afraid of the future uncertainties.
