Kaduna Gas Explosion - My Guess On Transformer Blast Turns To Be Massive Gas Explosion

What I thought was a transformer blast turns out to be a massive gas explosion which leaves five people dead at Sabon tasha Kaduna State.

When I heard the sound of the blast, I told my neighbor that our transformer has developed a problem and we shouldn't expect electricity any time soon. Sudenly a friend who ealier rush to the scene of the explosion called me and told me that it was a gas explosion.

The incident occurred at shop located opposite TotaI filling station at Sabon Tasha. The sound of the explosion caused fear among many residents who initially thought it was a bomb attack by Boko Haram.

The building which housed the gas shop was completely razed but firefighters were able to stop the inferno from spreading to other buildings.
