2020 Budget - FG Budget N30 Billion For Social Investment Programmes

Today, President Muhammadu Buhari presented 2020 Budget to the National Assembly. Budget of Sustaining Growth and Job Creation.

According to President Muhammadu Buhari, while presenting the budget asked for  pardon due to his voice. He said as you can hear, I have a cold as a result of working hard to meet your deadline! 

President Buhari in his speech stated that N30 billion was budgeted for Social Investment Programmes for the 2020 budget. Bellow are other priorities in the 2020 budget presented by Mr President:

2020 Budget Priorities
The 2020 Appropriation, which is designed to be a budget of:

• Fiscal consolidation, to strengthen our macroeconomic environment
• Investing in critical infrastructure, human capital development and enabling institutions, especially in key job creating sectors
• Incentivising private sector investment essential to complement the Government's development plans, policies and programmes; and
• Enhancing our social investment programs to further deepen their impact on those marginalised and most vulnerable Nigerians.
