Video From Sterling Bank iCreate Skills Fest 2019 In Kaduna

Sterling Bank Plc, in partnership with iCreateAfrica holds the grand tournament of the finest skills in the north at the Yaradua center Murtala Muhammed sqaure Kaduna on the 26th and 27th April 2019. Watch the video below:

Out of 80 Competitors, 15 of the contestant were crowned the skills champion of the North, 1 winner, 7 Million Naira. Sterling bank working with @icreateafrica to bring out the best in young Nigerians and the North is not left out. 1 winner will get to showcase in the finals in Abuja later in the year. The objectives of the programme was to create awareness for technical skills acquisition as an alternative to white collar jobs. 

The sterling bank skills championship cut across different categories such as: cooking, (graphics), (web design), (app development), (robotics), (art),  (tailoring), (barbing), (hair dressing), (make up),(carpentry), (tilling), (plumbing), (Automobile, (bricklaying) etc.

According to sterling bank, they are convinced this is the way to bridge the skills gap & high unemployment rate in Nigeria. We will continue to support this initiative till technicians become celebrities in our society.

A Female Mechanics competing for the grand price captured our attention on how she handles work that is predominantly done by male. Indeed what a man can do, a woman can do better.
