The overall winner of the Micro small medium Enterprise has emerged, the award which took place on the 2nd of August, 2018, at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja unveil a young entrepreneur Jerry Malo from Plateau State as winner.
Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has awarded a scholarship to the overall winner of the Micro, Small and Medium enterprises award, Jerry Malo, to study in any university around the world. The governor also pledged to build him a three-bedroom apartment and his father a new car.
Malo specialises in the fabrication of agricultural machines including a tractor which earned him the national award as MSME of the year. He was presented with a car and N1 million by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the MSMEAwards grand winner of the year, other winners were also rewarded with cash & other consolation prizes.
VP Osinbajo stated at the awards that the government have partnered with the Central Bank of Nigeria and Commercial Banks to launch a credit facility that will make available to MSMEs, loans from 2 million to 10 million with little or no collateral for 5 to 8 years, and at interest rate of 5%.
The MSMEAwards aimed at encouraging MSMEs in the country.
