A Nigeria fan review Nigeria Vs Argentina match
The 2018 Nigeria world cup journey has come to an end yesterday as a result of the 2-1 defeat by Argentina.
Before the match begin yesterday, someone asked me my thoughts on the Nigeria vs Argentina game. My response was that:
Both country has a better chance of qualifying and Victory could be for either country because both of them are playing for a chance to qualify for the knockout stage. However as a Nigerian, no matter what the result turns out to be, we are proud of these young men and what they represent to us as a nation.
At the end it turns out that the luck falls on Argentina and the take the day with a 2-1 defeat over Nigeria. The super eagles of Nigeria equally had a better chance of winning the game but failed to utilized their opportunities.
The officiating referee also contributed to the downfall of Nigeria yesterday by refusing to approve what was supposed to be a penalty. Even when he was called to consult the Video assistant referee (VAR) to confirm the incident, he reluctantly denied Nigeria that penalty opportunity.
Messi scored the first goal for Argentina while Moses scored the equalizer with a penalty kick and at the 84 minute, Argentina scored the winning goal which now qualified them to the knockout stage.
