The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (icrcng) Yesterday 30th of June, 2018 presented the interim PPP Certificate to FMARD for the deployment of 10,000 tractors & other mechanized equipment under the SMART Farms mechanization partnership between FMARD, John Deere Tractors & NAMEL.
The Certificate was issued based on assessment & review of the Outline Business Case submitted by FMARD & site visit to the demonstration farm/implement centre and other considerations. This confirms that the 3 parties can enter into a MoU for the provision of the stated services Upon satisfactory conduct of the mechanization services on a pilot scheme, and meeting the PPP requirements of icrcng, a joint Certificate of Compliance will be granted the project to enable FEC's Approval for a full long term PPP agreement to provide the services nationwide.
