The National Electronic Identity Card (e-ID Card) is a chip based card with multiple functions. The card is a token given upon successful enrollment or registration into the national identity system.
You can now visit the NIMC Site to check if your card is ready and has been dispatched to an activation center.
To check your card status simply follow the steps below:
- Go to https://touch.nimc.gov.ng

Press the "Click to proceed" button
A new page will pop up, for you to fill your enrollment details - The information needed are your First Name, Surname and National identification number
- Then click the check now button to view your card status.
If you have not register yet just visit any enrollment or registration center closer to you and register. Most Government job online application requires National Identification Number ( NIN) to complete job application
According to National Identification Management Commission, anyone without National Identification Number (NIN) will not be regarded as a Nigeria.
The Nigeria Immigration also says No National ID Card Registration, No International passport from 2018

the issue is this national identity is getting too delayed i did my since 2014. over 3yrs now. how long will it take for it to be produced. the system is just very slow i enrolled for it 14/3/2014. i have visited ilorin branch more than 3times to get it they keep telling me it has not been produce for how long? it is frustrating work on the system and make it faster.
